This article will help you quickly summarize all that is required to get admitted into LBS MBA’s program and will provide tips to crack into this rigorous program.

Application Essays (why you?) – one of the most important factors that can make you or break you.
Your personal statement is your opportunity to tell the admissions committee who you are and why you deserve to be at LBS MBA’s program. Take your time writing it and make sure it is well-written and free of grammar mistakes. Be honest and genuine, and let your personality shine through.
LBS advises that you devote "considerable time" to your application essays, as they are an important part of the admissions process that can greatly boost your candidacy. You will be given two prompts to respond to:
Question 1. (500 words) What are your post-MBA goals and how will your prior experience and the London Business School programme contribute towards these?
Question 2. (500 words) (This question is optional) Is there any other information you believe the Admissions Committee should know about you and your application to London Business School?

2. Undergraduate degree (past academic performance indicator) –
Hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification - a transcript of your grades from every university you've attended (if you are made an offer). A certified translation into English is also required for transcripts.
One of the most important things you can do to get into LBS is that you should had good grades in your undergraduate degree. Your grades will be one of the main factors that the admissions committee will consider when making their decision.
3. GMAT/GRE score (even a score of 620 can get you in at LBS, how? Continue reading…) –
You must have a valid GMAT/GRE score before submitting an application.
The average GMAT score earned by LBS's cohort stays in the range of 700’s, with a class range of 600 to 800. While a below-average score "does not usually disqualify a candidate," LBS indicates that a score of 600 is the minimum that they will accept.

4. A one-page CV (not advisable to use the same CV you used for your job!) –
As part of the online application process, you must upload a one-page CV. On a separate sheet, please explain any noteworthy gaps in your employment history (if any). You need at-least two years of work experience for the MBA program.
An academic CV for admission offers is very similar to use to get your last job, but it should not necessarily be used to get into LBS MBA’s program. For example, for getting a job, work experience is the most important aspect. But, for getting admitted into LBS MBA work experience will only be one aspect, other things like Activities, etc. would help admission officers decide if you would be a good fit at LBS.

5. Recommendation Letters (my advisor know what to write. May be not!) -
You must select someone to serve as your referee, and this person might be one of the following:
Someone else who knows you well in a business environment, such as a former employer or long-standing client (if you don't want to ask your present employer to be a referee, a colleague will suffice)
LBS will send your referee an email with log-in details for our online reference system when you enter their information into the online application form. In connection with your application, London Business School reserves the right to contact your referee for additional information.
Your advisors should be wise in describing you, your skills and ability to the best that fits into a future LBS MBA candidate.

6. Proof of English Language ability – If English is not your native language, you must send LBS your score in a recognized English test taken within the last two years.
LBS do not require a hard copy of your score report at the application stage and will verify your test score during the admissions process. Please make London Business School the score recipient to your test score so LBS can verify your scores electronically.
LBS accept these tests:
• TOEFL Internet-based Test
• IELTS
• CPE
• PTE (Pearson Test of English)
• CAE.
You do not need to submit your test score if:
• your undergraduate or postgraduate degree was conducted entirely in English or in an English-speaking country (degrees must be two years or longer)
• you have lived or worked in an English-speaking country for at least two years since graduating from university. Your English will be continually assessed during the admissions process
